Schedule of Events for the General Public (2010)

We are constantly adding new things to see and do during The Rendezvous to our schedule, so please check back every now and then to see the latest on what’s going on.

 

We truly put our hearts and souls into this annual event and we hope you have a fantastic time while you’re in Ridgway at our Rendezvous.

 

Feb 20, through the 27, 2010
Admission fee $3.00 at the gate.  Under 18 Free

Saturday, Feb 20
9a.m. -5 p.m.: Carvers arrive and begin setting up. All day carving.

 

Sunday, Feb. 21
11 a.m. – 5 p.m.: Carving at the grounds.

 

Monday through Thursday, Feb 22 through Feb 25
9 a.m. til noon: Daily seminars and workshops – The public is invited to attend Appalachian Arts Studio, 17245 Boot Jack Road located one mile south of Ridgway on Route 219


Great opportunity to learn about the art form from some of the finest and most recognized names in the industry. Those who will be teaching are as follows;

1:00pm -  5:00 pm : Carvers will be carving at the Festival Grounds
Located at 1 Gillis Avenue. Turn left off main Street at the fourth light

 

Friday, February 26
9:00am - 5:00pm:

Wood Carving at Festival Site
Ice Carving with Wayne DeMoranville,  Lakeville, MA

 

Shuttle bus rides to event site ongoing throughout the day from St. Leo’s parking lot to festival grounds.

Saturday, Feb 27
9 am –  til ?
Carvers will be carving throughout the day at the festival site beginning at 9:00 a.m.

Noon til done (usually around 5 or 6pm)
The Auction – Inside the Warehouse

 

Don’t forget to Brand your carving! The official 2010 Ridgway Rendezvous brand. Cost for branding your carving is $10.00 

 

Those who purchase carvings will have an opportunity to have their carvings shrink wrapped to protect them from getting damaged. SK Office Supply will be on hand with their van and shrink warp film for the safety and transport of carvings purchased at the Rendezvous.

 

10 pm – 1 am

The Doug Moreland Band will perform at Aiello Café. $5.00 at the door.   www.dougmoreland.com

Jordan’s Bar and Grill Bad Hair Day 7pm-11pm $3.25 Personal Pitchers of Miller Lite and Coors Lite 1/2 Dozen Wings and a 12 inch 1 topping pizza $8.00

Tuesday, Feb 23

Jordan’s Bar and Grill Wing Night - 4pm-?? MGD 64 Sampling and 12oz MGD 64 Cans on special

 

Wednesday, Feb 24

1pm - 4pm: The Welcome Center 300 Main St. Girl Scouts will be selling cookies

 

7-9pm: Elk County Council on the Arts: the ECCOTA gallery, 237 Main St., author PJ Piccirillo and musicians Mark and Bekki Titchner of Fieldstone will lead an evening of pure listening pleasure. Piccirillo will read from his novel Heartwood and the Titchners will perform live. The floor will be open to artists, performers and lumber lovers alike who care to share their stories in good company.

JB Unplugged 8pm-12pm, 3 hard or soft tacos for $2.00, chicken quesadillas, taco pizza, and loaded nachos

 

Thursday, Feb 25

Jordan’s Bar and Grill Karaoke with DJ Chris Klase at 9:30

Friday Feb 26
9am: Living Waters Open house, 11am: Worship and band

 

1pm - 4pm: The Welcome Center300 Main St. Girl Scouts will be selling cookies

Satuday Feb 27

Lumber Jacks Restaurant will host daily dinner specials, and provide DJ on Wed and Friday night.

Open for breakfast daily at 6am and have lunch and dinner specials.
