I know i say this every year, but yet again we're somehow in the lead up the next Rendezvous when it seems like the sawdust has only just settled form THIS year's event! But sure enough, the carver registrations are rolling in (you can see who's coming on the carver list) an dinterest in the event is bigger than it's ever been.
As always, the event is an amazing opportunity for carvers from all over the world to teach, share and learn about this exciting art form. And for the 25,000 or so people who come along, it's a one of a kind opportunity to see these great carvers in action - and maybe even buy a unique carving.
We'll be posting more information about what will be going during the 'Vous in the coming months, but in the meantime you can rest assured there'll be the usual carving demonstrations, one hour 'quick carves' but world champion carvers and no shortage of things to be awed, inspired and entertained by. For those of you who are new to teh event, you can get a taste of what it's all about by checking out a short video on our event.
So if you're a carver, now's the time to register. And if you're planning on coming along, it's never too early to start making plans. Remember, Ridgway is a modest sized town, so it pays to get in early to find a place to stay.
