Wow, how the past 12 months has flown. It seems like just yesterday we were cleaning up the wood chip sand saw dust from last year's event yet ehere we are again, with our first carvers all set to roll into town already for this year's event.
Biggest ever Rendezvous?
I know we say it every year, but this year really is going to be bigger than ever before. In so many ways. For starters, the registered carvers list is massive so as alwys we're going to have some of the best carvers from around the country and the world. The new venue is bigger too - twice the size in fact! And of course there's all the gereat media we have planned... from ESPN and the awesome chance to go to one of the world's best fishing spots through to the the Explore PA crew and who knows who else!
Important info for carvers
If you're coming along as a carver, please take note of the following on-site registration details: This year, registration is at the Appalachian Arts Studio from 9am to 3pm on the 16th and 9am to noon on the 17th-23rd. So make sure you stop in at The Studio before you head to the carving site!
The forecast is for a good time!
Although we're still a few days out from the official start, the long range forecats suggests there may be a little rain, but otherwise sunny. Either way, it's likely to be cold so be sure and dress warm. Don't forget to bring your camera too cause you are sure to get some once in a lifetime pictures for sure!
Transport and schedule of events

Auction news
You'll also be happy to hear we are now able to take credit cards for purchases made at the auction! So if you fall in love with a piece and like the idea of your money going to a good cause but your wallet or purse is a little light, not to worry - just make sure you bring your plastic fantastic and that carving can be all yours!
Welcome to the Rendezvous.
With our first carvers already arriving to set up the carving grounds, all that's really left to be said is a big welcome to all our carvers, and all our visitors. We put more effort than you will ever know into making this event something truly special, and we hope you enjoy your time here in Ridgway! Can't wait to see you all soon.
