Well, we're only about a month away from the event, but we have some BIG BIG news to tell... we're moving the location of the Rendezvous!
New location - goodbye mud!
As great as the past year's events have been, the weather has gotten the better of us a few times. So this year, we'll be at the Clarion River Holding Company (formerly the Motion Control Industrial Complex) in downtown Ridgway.
Why the move? Simple - it's solid ground so if we get snow or rain, we won't sink in the mud! It's handicap accessible, and there's a place for us to have an indoor auction which is equally awesome. Oh, and 6 acres instead of 3 which means more room for the 200+ carvers who have already registered.
Record number of carvers?
Yes, it looks like being a record number of carvers this year... 200+ and counting. From over 14 countries and from as far away as Washington, California and Wyoming!
More, more, more...
There's not just going to be more carvers, but more food vendors, more parking, more of everything! And we're still within easy walking distance to the shops, stores and eateries in town.
The ice carving will stay in the same location at the Visitor's Center on Main Street as you come into Ridgway and don't worry, there'll be plenty of signage (and probably the usual trail of saw dust) to help you find your way to the actual site at 1 Gillis Ave (the 4th left on the right going down Main St)

Many of you are also asking about a schedule of events... well, rest assured we're going as fast as we can. Some details are up now so feel free to check them out - click here for more. Please keep in mind arranging this is all is a massive logistical exercise so we're going as fast as we can and will be posting more info as it comes to hand.
